Choosing an EOR for Brazil

Best EOR
provider in Brazil: test the claims

The best EOR provider in Brazil for your hire is the one that can show its working on three Brazilian tests: an eSocial admission event (S-2200) sent before the first day, a cost quote that includes the 13º salário and the one-third holiday bonus, and monthly FGTS deposits made on time through FGTS Digital. EOR Brazil employs your hire as employer of record under the CLT, and we walk you through each step before you sign.

Who handles your hire

A person, not a ticket queue.

You get one named account contact for every hire in Brazil. When a férias payment looks wrong or a convenção coletiva sets a new piso mid-year, you write to that person, who replies with the cause, the fix and who in payroll is handling it.

Eight questions to put to any Brazil provider

Take these into a sales call. A provider that runs Brazilian payroll can answer each one.

Who files in eSocial?

Which company sends the S-2200 admission and the monthly S-1200 events, and who corrects an event that is rejected?

How is IRRF worked?

Can you show how the 2026 IRRF table and the Lei 15.270 reduction apply to my salary, and how the 13º salário is taxed apart from a normal month?

Who carries the risk?

If a court finds a vínculo empregatício with my company, which party does your contract make liable for the cost?

Where do files sit?

Who can see my employees’ CPF numbers, payslips and medical certificates, and where are those files kept and for how long?

Which CCT applies?

Which convenção coletiva will cover my hire, what piso salarial and meal-voucher terms does it set, and when is its data-base for the yearly raise?

How long before day one?

What must happen before the start date, including the signed contract and the S-2200 event, and how many days will it take?

Is the 13º in it?

Does your cost quote include the 13º salário, the one-third holiday bonus and about 35.8% of employer charges, or twelve salaries only?

What records reach me?

Will I receive each month’s payslips, the DCTFWeb and FGTS Digital receipts and the signed contract, and in which language?

Comparing providers

Before you pick a provider

Who is my Brazilian employee’s employer?+
The legal employer under the CLT is EOR Brazil, as your employer of record. It signs the contract, records the hire in the digital CTPS and reports to eSocial. You direct the daily work and pay EOR Brazil one monthly invoice for salary, charges and our fee.
How does monthly payroll run through eSocial?+
Each month we send the payroll events (S-1200 and S-1210) to eSocial and close the period with S-1299. That data feeds DCTFWeb, which generates the DARF for social security contributions, and FGTS Digital, which issues the FGTS guide paid by Pix. Both fall due on the 20th; wages reach employees by the 5th business day.
Who pays INSS?+
Both sides pay. The employer pays 20% of all pay to the INSS with no ceiling, plus RAT and terceiros. The employee pays 7.5% to 14% by band, up to R$ 988,09 a month in 2026. We withhold the employee share and pay both through DCTFWeb.
What if a dismissal is taken to the labour courts?+
Claims go to the Justiça do Trabalho and can be filed up to two years after the job ends, reaching back five years. We respond as employer and keep the eSocial records, payslips and FGTS receipts a court usually asks for. We agree exit costs with you first: aviso prévio (30 days, plus 3 for each year served) and a 40% FGTS fine.
Who handles my employees’ data?+
Payroll data is processed by our payroll team for eSocial and FGTS Digital reporting, and reaches you only as payslips, cost reports and the documents you need. Access is limited to the people running your payroll, and we explain how long each file is kept before you sign.
What decides our fee?+
EOR Brazil bills from USD 560 per person per month, roughly R$ 2.901,24 (ECB, 24 Sep 2026), plus, in most cases, a set-up fee billed once. Salary, charges and benefits are billed at the amounts paid.
Can terms change once someone starts?+
Yes, with the employee’s agreement. A pay rise, a new role or a move to teletrabalho is agreed in writing and recorded in the digital CTPS; remote work must be stated in the contract under CLT article 75-C. Some changes also depend on the convenção coletiva, so we check each request against it before it goes ahead.
Where does support for my team sit?+
Support comes from a team that runs Brazilian CLT payroll as its daily work. You have one named account contact, and your employees can raise questions about payslips, férias and the 13º salário directly.
